And He Had Fun-Fun-Fun Till The Feds Took Their Humvee Away

. SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Tribune News Service) — A California man accused of leading police on a wild four-minute chase in a stolen military Humvee will spend 34 months in prison, federal officials say. The 30-year-old Pomona resident stole the vehicle from a U.S. Army Reserve center in Upland, California, by cutting a padlock with bolt cutters, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California said in a news release. Police spotted the man driving the armored vehicle, equipped with a turret, shortly after the Nov. 9, 2020, theft, sparking a high-speed, four-minute chase, prosecutors said. Guess they didn't fall for the old "I'm just taking it for a quick test-drive" story.

That's The Way The Cookie Crumbleys

James and Jennifer Crumbley, the parents of the teen charged in the Oxford High School shooting , were located and arrested early Saturday in Detroit after a citizen saw their vehicle and called police. "Yes, they are both in custody and will be on the way to the Oakland County Jail soon," said Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe. "Kudos to Detroit PD and all the other agencies that assisted." Police arrived at the scene, in the area of the 1100 block of Bellevue near E. Lafayette, about 10 p.m. or 10:30 p.m., Detroit Police Chief James White told reporters about 3 a.m. Saturday morning. It's believed the Crumbleys — facing charges of involuntary manslaughter connected to the Oxford High School mass shooting in which their son is accused — were let into a commercial building by someone, White said.  Police know who that someone is and those who aided the couple could face criminal charges, White said. The Crumbleys were found hiding inside and were

Run Away!

PONTIAC, Mich. — A prosecutor filed involuntary manslaughter charges Friday against the parents of a teen accused of killing four students at a Michigan high school, saying they failed to intervene on the day of the tragedy despite being confronted with a drawing and chilling message — “blood everywhere” — that was found at the boy’s desk. James and Jennifer Crumbley committed “egregious” acts, from buying a gun on Black Friday and making it available to Ethan Crumbley to resisting his removal from school when they were summoned a few hours before the shooting, Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said. So Mommy and Daddy did the logical thing: they hit the road.  By mid-afternoon, authorities said they were searching for the couple. Sheriff Mike Bouchard said their attorney, Shannon Smith, had agreed to arrange their arrest if charges were filed but hadn’t been able to reach them. Ethan Crumbley, 15, emerged from a bathroom with a gun, shooting students in the hallwa

Hard To Believe

Biden's been hanging out at the White House less than a year, but it seems like forever. The guy just bumbles around; he can't even do a press conference these days without fumbling it. One can only hope that his handlers manage to continue to keep him away from the pretty buttons. So far, so good. AND: the so-called "parents" of school killer Ethan Crumbley have been charged with involuntary manslaughter, for what that's worth - they've both boogies for the hills (or more likely the Canadian border) and the police are presently trying to track them down. That's easy to understand; both of them were at the gun shop when daddy bought the gun as a birthday gift for the apple of their eyes. That apple turned out to be pretty wormy.

Now They're Beating Off Salmon?

A new eco-friendly plastic alternative made from salmon sperm and vegetable oil could help end plastic pollution. Scientists at Tianjin University developed the material, which they have coined 'hydrogel'. It uses two strands of DNA from salmon sperm and combines it with a chemical in vegetable oil to create a strong manufacturing material.  Okay, whatever...

Crumbley

Evidently, Mommy and Daddy Crumbley are on the run: Police are searching for the Michigan school shooting suspect's parents just hours before they are to be arraigned on involuntary manslaughter charges.   Check the border crossing to Windsor, Ontario.... Ethan Crumbley currently faces 24 felony counts, including four counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of assault with intent to murder, in addition to the terrorism charge. He will be tried as an adult and faces life in prison if convicted. The whole family seems to be dysfunctional.

I've Not Seen This, And I Often Use Chrome And Other Browsers

Thousands of Windows users are complaining about 'annoying' popups from Microsoft pressuring them to quit using Google Chrome. The tech giant has been sending alerts promising users they'll "save time and money" by switching to the default Windows browser, Microsoft Edge. Some of the alerts even say: "That browser is so 2008! Do you know what's new? Microsoft Edge." https://www.dailystar.co.uk/tech/news/microsoft-urge-millions-windows-pc-25600373  Whatever....
